Who can come?
The OGS Breakfast Club is open to all graduate students at VIU including those from other institutions that are doing their research on our campus with VIU faculty.
When is it?
We get together most Friday mornings in September and January starting at 7:15am. Sometimes we have them in the afternoons depending on students' schedules, then we become Breakfast in the Afternoon Club!
What is it?
We provide a continental style breakfast (with coffee!) and take in a short workshop on a variety of topics.
Where is it?
The Breakfast Club meets in Building 305 Room 440 (The Research Commons)
How to register?
Registration is facilitated through VIU's Student Engagement App.

Librarians: aka Grad Students' BFFs
Seriously. Lucy Kiester, one of our fabulous Librarians will teach us all a bit more about how to search better. Because, trust us, you likely could be doing it WAY better. There are so many useful tricks! Walk away with quicker search times and you will seriously impress your fellow grad buddies.

This morning we will have Gemma Armstrong, one of our dedicated VIU Counsellors, join us to guide us through how to prioritize our mental health and well-being even when it seems impossible! A great session to attend at the start of the semester - also super for you to learn some skills and resources to share with fellow students.
