Indigenous Mentorship Network of the Pacific Northwest Graduate Funding

Basically the Indigenous Mentorship Network of the Pacific Northwest is awesome. See below for four different funds you may be eligible to receive.

The group focuses on Indigenous wellness research. Their understanding of wellness research is holistic, encompassing a broad range of disciplines and methodologies that contribute to well-being among Indigenous peoples, communities and collectives.

Research Experience Award

What is it?Indigenous students (at all levels), who have partnered with an Indigenous community or organization to engage in a wellness-related research project that is mutually beneficial.
How much is it worth?$2,000
What is the deadline?Research Experiences are rolling and will be accepted throughout the year pending opportunities available.
Am I eligible?Applicants must either be studying in, or conducting research in British Columbia or the Yukon. Applicants must also have an Academic Mentor at an eligible institution for funds to be transferred.

Research Expense Stipend

What is it?Indigenous students who are completing research or research-related activities as part of their academic program (e.g. undergraduate honours thesis, thesis, practicum, final project, Community Governance Project, dissertation), and will receive post-secondary credit for completion of these activities.
How much is it worth?Masters - $2,000; Doctoral - $3,000
What is the deadline?Feb 1 & August 1 @ 5PM PST
Am I eligible?Applicants must either be a) studying in, or b) conducting research in British Columbia or the Yukon. Applicants must have an Academic Mentor at an eligible institution for funds to be transferred.

Conference/Community Travel Award

What is it?Funds can be used to offset costs of travel to mentors, Elders, communities, and can also support access to academic or professional development resources, such as conferences or workshops. These funds can be held in addition to a Research Experience Award or a Research Expense Stipend.
How much is it worth?$1,000

Northern Travel Award
