VIU researchers developing a breakthrough opioid drug testing system using new equipment provided by Thermo Fisher Scientific – were declared semi-finalists in Health Canada’s Drug Checking Technology Challenge.

VIU Faculty and Staff are encouraged to mobilize their research and creative activity by delivering a 15 minute oral presentation followed by 5 minutes for feedback and discussion.

Hundreds of students and faculty will be participating in Vancouver Island University’s largest showcase event, CREATE 2019 and Research Week.
