What's Happening

Dr. Pam Shaw and Dr. Ralph Nilson are being recognized for the outstanding contributions they have made in their fields and to Canadian public life.
Dr. Cynthia-Lou Coleman is curious about the similarities and differences between how Indigenous scientific and cultural issues are covered by the media in Canada and the United States.
VIU has been selected to participate in two federal research award programs. The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) grant will help post-secondary institutions become more inclusive, welcome diversity, and improve research and employment opportunities for underrepresented groups. The Dimensions Pilot provides federal recognition of their work on EDI.
