Summer Shellebration
Join us as we celebrate a successful summer re-opening with a special evening event!
We are excited to welcome artist Bill Helin for a special art dedication and drum ceremony. Bill Helin is a Canadian artist, illustrator, jewelry designer engraver, writer, tourism and branding expert, drumming specialist, singing and verbal storyteller; and logo and gift product designer in the Northwest Coast style and a member of the Tsimshian First Nation of northwestern British Columbia.
One of Bill's sculptures "A Mothers Love" is on display at the station, and will be officially dedicated during this event.
We will also be showcasing our Mini Science Fair during this event. Enthusiastic ocean explorers ages 6-12 will display their knowledge on a topic of their choice relating to marine science!
There will be food available for purchase:
-margherita pizza (for the kids but really, who doesn't love pizza at any age)
-seafood chowder
-homebaked cookies
-ice cream treats
-non-alcoholic berverages
Admission is by donation.
