Community Partners Series: How the Nanaimo John Howard Society Helps More than Men in Jail

With John McCormick, Executive Director. John will talk about the work of the Nanaimo Region John Howard Society as one of 61 independently governed JHS affiliates across the country that is working on projects that foster a safe and supported community. With the breadth of programs the Society manages, John will discuss ways in which the organization work collaboratively and innovatively to support this vision.
 

Ocean Critter Summer Camp (ages 6 - 9)

Critter Camp (ages 6-9): Tuesday August 4th to Friday August 7th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm

Cost: 4 days - $144 (plus tax)

Learn all about your favourite ocean critters and explore their home, the ocean, in this fun and educational camp. Camp will be packed with science-based games, experiments, interpretive nature walks, beach explorations, and taking care of the Deep Bay critters. Campers should be prepared to be on the beach for a portion of each day (weather dependent). We hope to see you there!
