Intertidal BioBlitz

Join us on our first annual Intertidal BioBlitz! We are collecting data from all around the shores of the Salish Sea. We are looking for citizen scientists of all ages to head to the shore and document the biodiversity you discover! It's free to participate, just download iNaturalist onto your phone or tablet and get started.

When? April 1 - 3, 2022

How? See, discover, photograph or listen, upload, identify, learn.

Why? Learn more about what lives on the intertidal. The closer you look, the more you will find!

Who? Citizen Scientists of all ages!

Workshop: Submitting a Mackenzie King Memorial Scholarship Application

Interested in applying for this Scholarship? Come on out and get some advice on how to complete the application. These are for students who will be in a graduate program come Fall 2022 and will have completed at least one degree at a Canadian institution.

Using Research Posters for In-class Assessment: Setting Students up to Share Knowledge

Session will outline different types of posters including the ‘classic’ research poster, infographics, TwitterPosters, and virtual interactive. We will review the various resources available to instructors including online student workshops for poster design, and basic rubrics they may further develop to meet in-class assessment requirements.
