Overview
CSI connected Walcan Seafood, a Quadra Island based seafood processing company with Royal Roads University where they received valuable business advice from MBA students. Walcan participated as a Capstone project client where students, all midcareer professionals, focused on critical issues facing the company in the midst of a major business pivot.
Shellfish Aquaculture Communications Strategy Development
As an alumni, Debra knew the Royal Roads University Masters of Professional Communication live case study would provide value. RRU Masters students are typically mid-career professionals with considerable experience. She recommended that the BC Shellfish Grower’s Association (BCSGA) join CSI to participate as a live case study. BCSGA and CSI were grilled by communications students and received comprehensive reports that provide action plans for communication strategies to improve public perceptions, address labour attraction and stimulate engagement.
