This week celebrates 2SLGBTQ+ pride to promote the self-affirmation, dignity, equality and increased visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender, queer and two-spirit people as a social group. Pride, as opposed to shame and social stigma, is the predominant outlook that bolsters most 2SLGBTQ+ rights movements.

A federal statutory holiday, it celebrates the anniversary of the effective date of the Constitution Act in 1867 (then called the British North America Act), which united the three separate colonies of the Province of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick into a single dominion within the British Empire called Canada.

Father's Day is a holiday to celebrate fathers and fatherhood around the world - although the date for celebration varies.

World Refugee Day was established by the United Nations to mark the courage, strength, and determination of all the men, women and children who were forced to flee from their homeland under threat of conflict and violence.

Africa Day is a day to celebrate and acknowledge the successes of the Organisation of African Unity (now the African Union) in the fight against colonialism and apartheid.

The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. Muslims believe that they are commanded by God, as mentioned in the Quran, to continue their fast until the last day of Ramadan before offering the Eid prayers.

A United Nations-sanctioned international holiday for the promotion of diversity issues.
