Nowruz - Persian New year

Nowruz is a holiday that is celebrated on the day of the vernal equinox, which usually falls on March 20th on the Gregorian calendar. It is known either as the Iranian New Year or the Persian New Year. It is not only celebrated in Iran, and other parts of Asia, but is also in the Caucasus, the Balkans, and the Black Sea Basin. For most people who observe it, it is a secular holiday. However, for the Zoroastrians, it is considered a holy day.
