We are pleased to offer guided tours of our facilities as part of the 2019 Brant Wildlife Festival!  The Deep Bay Marine Field Station is committed to the promotion of ecologically sustainable development and marine conservation. Join our knowledgeable guides as they discuss features of our green building, marine conservation, sustainable seafood and more in interactive group tours of the Field Station. These guided tours offer a unique opportunity to acquire firsthand information from the experts themselves.

Bring Your Lunch & Learn about ... Visitors Experiences at Artisan Businesses: A Case Study of the ECONOMUSEE® Business Model in BC

Led by John Predyk. ÉCONOMUSÉE© is a non-profit organization founded in 1992 in Quebec, Canada which now includes over 70 Artisans from across Canada and Europe. The model promotes the preservation of traditional knowledge and local entrepreneurship by utilizing cultural tourism to showcase artisans and encourage the consumption of locally produced artisanal products. This presentation highlights the results of the impact of the ÉCONOMUSÉE model on overall visitor experience as well as positive indicators of success.

In Search of the Real Wolf: Remarkable images, startling facts and incredible stories

Please join us on Thursday October 25th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm to celebrate Paula Wild's newest book Return of the Wolf: Conflict and Coexistence a visual journey in search of the real wolf. Paula Wild will be discussing our evolving relationship with wolves including ancient myths, natural history and science and tapping into what makes wolves so compelling. This is a free admission event with dessert and light refreshments.
