The Environmental Psychology Research Lab (EPRL) conducts environmental psychology research in Canada and the United States. Our work occurs in a variety of settings, including prisons, elementary schools, hospitals, office buildings, and urban neighbourhoods. We are interested in a number of psychosocial dependent variables concerning health and wellbeing, sense of place, territoriality, organizational commitment, privacy, and pro-environmental behavior and attitudes. Beyond theoretical research, we also consult on applied projects with engineers, city planners, architects, criminal justice professionals, and professionals in the non-profit sector. Projects often include architectural programming, post-occupancy evaluation, survey and interview development work, as well as observer-based environmental assessments (OBEAs).
