The Deep Bay Marine Field Station would like to welcome all Vancouver Island University staff and their families to a free VIU staff day on Sunday July 29th, 2018.

    • Get up close and personal with local marine life in our aquaria and touch tanks!
    • Check out the recreated skeletal remains of a 10-metre grey whale on display in the lobby of the station!
    • Take a tour of the facility, to learn about what makes our unique building so "green"!
    • Take in amazing views of Baynes Sound from our deck!
    • Stroll around our site and riparian restoration area!
