Are you interested in Citizen Science? In honour of World Oceans Day we are hosting a free community education event, aimed at better understanding all the different plants and animals that live on our shores. We are looking for a group of dedicated and interested 'citizen' scientists to help us get a better picture of the species that live at our beach. With the help of experts, volunteers will record and submit data about the species they observed while at their designated research area.

Our biological survey will be an educational experience at finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time. There will be scientists, families, students, teachers, and other community members working together to get an overall count of the plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms that live in a place.

This is a free community event. Refreshements will be provided.

Please RSVP below. Stay tuned for more details!
